The story of Rizzo's Pizza starts in 1959 when founder Joe Rizzo introduced his unique approach to the Sicilian square. A thin crisp crust, bursts of the now famous tangy tomato sauce and a sprinkle of grated Romano and Parmesan, topped with a single slice of fresh mozzarella.
That pizza became a true staple: the Original Thin Crust Square; it has been praised by food lovers, critics and media, standing as one of the best ranked pizzas in New York City today.
My challenge was to bring Rizzo's to the digital world and that journey began in 2018 when we started implementing state-of-the-art restaurant technology and connecting with the community through social media, with a strategy that relies strongly on video content.
As of 2021 Rizzo's Pizza is recognized as on of the leading pizza shops in New York, thanks not only to its long history, but to a strong digital presence as well.
